If you're part of a vegetarian or vegan family or are interested in learning more about raising vegetarian or vegan kids, come along to our information day (and bring your kids)! Meet other veg*n families, learn and have fun!

Venue: 2nd floor, Kindness House, 288 Brunswick St, Fitzroy

Date and Time: Saturday, 31st July. 1pm - 5pm

Bring: Yourselves, your children (if you have them), plenty of enthusiasm, and a plate of vegan food (with a list of ingredients) so everyone can share.

Contact: To RSVP or for more info, please email miranda(dot)bone(at)gmail.com.

We'll open with a welcome, and some presentations from veg*n parents, followed by the picnic and time to just mingle and get to know one another. If you would like to help out by presenting your veg*n family story, we'd love to hear from you.

There will be organised children's activities such as colouring, book reading, origami, simon-says, 'knot', and similar games, but if you'd like, please bring toys or games that your kids would like to share with new-met friends.

It is a great chance to swap stories and tips about raising veg*n kids, and to talk about nutrition - VegVic volunteer Miranda Bone is a nutritionist, and there will be a dietitian present as well, both happy to answer any questions. We're sure many parents will have good advice on that score too.

As this is the first get-together for this new group please come along with ideas and energy. The main point being 'please come along'. We will be discussing future activities and the direction we would like this group to take.
