Successful experiment, the quantities are very loose. A traditional hummous recipe with a raw twist: the substitution of (partly) sprouted chickpeas for canned or cooked ones!
-Take about 200-300g dry chickpeas, put them in a jar and cover with water, then tie a clean piece of cloth (eg hanky) over the top with a rubber band. Soak for about 12 to 24 hours, then drain out the water through the cloth. Every 12 hours or so pour in more water to rinse the chickpeas then drain out - after 2-3 days they should be partly sprouted.
-Put the sprouts in a food processor with:
1 garlic clove
75ml olive oil
1-2 tblspoons tahini
Juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground paprika (optional)
1/2 tsp sea salt
Process until smooth.
This combo seemed to work well for me - feel free to add/remove/adjust to taste |

Thanks!
I'll have to try that recipe!
Thanks, have yet to find a good raw hummus recipe that has chickpeas in it. |

I've found using half sprouted chickpeas, half zucchini works really well and makes a creamier dip |
